Jana Barthel is an interdisciplinary artist.

She works with installation, drawing, painting and text. In the collaborations with directors, performers and puppeteers her focus is on the conception and design of stage, costumes, puppets and objects. Her latest projects were the webseries "Walden - Live from the Woods" with students of Zeitgenössische Puppenspielkunst at HfS Ernst Busch Berlin and the production "Danish Pork" with her group Søgaard/Barthel/Glöckler at Schaubude Berlin.

As Futuremaps030 she writes and performs text and recently published her first album comissioned by the public art exhibition "Gegenwarten | Presences" in Chemnitz. She lives in Berlin.
